Who is this web site run by ?

  • The OldITGuy.uk is a private web site authored and managed by Philip Trew, who is a retired engineer resident in the UK.

Information that this site collects

  • When you access this web site, information about your computer’s web browser type, referral source, IP address, files downloaded and date and time of access are recorded in the access log files of my web server. I use this information to monitor the health of my server and intercept attempts at illegal access. I never share this statistical data with any other party.
  • When you post comments on this web site, the name and email address you supply, the IP address of your computer, the user agent string of the web browser you are using, and the date and time of posting will be stored in this site’s database for as long as your comment remains attached to the associated article.
